PEPE_
The fastest Pepe alive — because it's the only one that runs natively on Kaspa L1.
Deployed by accident during a covenant stress-test. Kept on purpose by the people who watched it happen. Every trade still feeds the fund it was built to test in the first place.
No presale. No team allocation. Deployed as a test, claimed by the chat.
01 — The Lore
It was never supposed to be a coin.
Every good meme coin starts with an accident. This one started with a covenant test.
Shawn — the developer building KRON, the bonding-curve launchpad and AMM that's teaching Kaspa L1 how to trade — had been coding for 26 hours straight. Not for a meme. For the covenants: the on-chain contracts that let a KCC20 token launch on a bonding curve, graduate into a live AMM pool, and keep behaving correctly while liquidity gets added or pulled. He'd just shipped an update to that logic, and before it touched real money, it needed one thing to break on purpose.
So he deployed a token. Bought it. Sold it. Graduated it. Added liquidity. Removed it. Every test passed. He called it PEPE, because that's what test coins get called when nobody's supposed to notice.
People noticed.
sorry for the shit coin
Shawn, KRON dev
rather that than $7,000 and it breaks
Shawn, KRON dev
take it over!
Shawn, KRON dev
The community did. Telegram and X went up within the hour. Shawn kept coding — on his birthday, as it turned out — and later covered the token's deploy cost himself, on top of everything already flowing into the audit fund.
"Pointless, other than the dev dumping his bag… except he never dumped it. He gave it away."
02 — More Than A Random Meme
Every trade quietly funds a security audit.
PEPE was deployed by the exact same wallet that deploys KRON itself. That's not a branding choice — it means trading fees earned from both PEPE and KRON flow into the same place: the fund paying for KRON's third-party security audit and the platform's long-term development.
That routing isn't a promise printed on a website. It's enforced by the contract, and it's checkable by anyone — the same way you'd verify any covenant on Kaspa L1.
03 — Why Kaspa L1
"Fastest Pepe alive" is a technical claim, not just a tagline.
10
blocks / second
Kaspa is a BlockDAG, not a single-file blockchain. Blocks are produced and ordered in parallel via the GHOSTDAG protocol, so the network doesn't have to choose between being fast and staying decentralized.
L1
no bridge, no wrapper
KCC20 tokens — PEPE included — live directly on Kaspa's base layer through covenant contracts. No side-chain, no wrapped asset, no bridge to trust.
∞
on-chain bonding curve + AMM
The same covenant engine that lets a token launch, graduate into a real AMM pool, and survive liquidity changes — the exact mechanism this coin exists to have stress-tested — runs natively at Kaspa speed.

05 — How To Buy
Four steps. No forms, no whitelist.
-
01
Get KAS
Pick up Kaspa (KAS) on any exchange that lists it, and move it to a wallet you control.
-
02
Install Kasware
Kasware is the wallet KRON connects to. Install the extension and load it with KAS.
-
03
Open the PEPE page on KRON
Head to the token page, connect Kasware, and swap KAS → PEPE.
-
04
Hold, trade, or don't
It's a meme coin born from a stress test. Every trade routes fees toward the audit fund either way — what you do with your bag is entirely up to you.
06 — Community
Community-run since the takeover.
Not officially operated by the KRON team beyond the fee routing baked into the contract itself. Just people who watched a test coin happen and decided to keep it alive.
